Valve engineering for energy systems
The efficiency of an energy system is determined by the exact dosing of fuel and the energy consumption of the system, which should of course be as low as possible. With our certified gas valves and our know-how in gas dosing, we can provide our customers with made-to-fit system solutions.
Our competencies
Here at Staiger, we manufacture DVGW-certified gas valves, valves for dosing gaseous and liquid fuels or for accurate and precise pressure regulation. Our heavy-duty gas valves – which meet the requirements of EN161 - are extremely reliable.

Energy & Hydrogen Systems
Staiger valves are used in hydrogen production, fuel cell systems (portable, mobile, and stationary), gas heating systems, smart gas appliances, and decentralized energy supply for industrial processes such as flame cutting.
Staiger develops complete gas control units, including hardware and software. These systems integrate up to 8 proportional valves, 15 temperature sensors, gas bottle level monitoring, and automatic ignition for up to 8 burners—ideal for smart grills and intelligent gas appliances.
Staiger offers precision proportional valves to regulate hydrogen mass flow in portable, mobile, and stationary fuel cells. Additionally, on/off valves are used for purge and drain functions within the fuel cell system.
In electrolyzer applications, Staiger supplies on/off valves for controlling water feed, managing hydrogen and oxygen outlet, and regulating pressure—ensuring safe and efficient gas separation and conversion.
Yes. Staiger’s DVGW-certified gas valves are used in gas heating systems and appliances, offering safe, accurate flow control for combustion, dosing, and automatic shut-off in accordance with industry regulations.
Absolutely. Staiger valves are used in smart gas grills and appliances for automatic temperature regulation, multi-zone ignition, and real-time control, combining proportional and on/off valve technology with sensor feedback systems.
Staiger valves are compatible with hydrogen, oxygen, natural gas, and compressed air. Available sealing materials include FKM, FFKM, EPDM, and NBR—ensuring safety and media compatibility for various energy environments.
