3-way solenoid valve

direct actuated, NC (normally closed)

In the rest position a spring pushes the plunger against valve seat P, and exhaust A is connected with R. Upon energizing the solenoid, the plunger is pulled against seat R through magnetic energy and thereby closed. The connection P to A is thus opened. The medium flows along the plunger. Upon de-energizing the solenoid, a spring pushes the plunger back into the rest position again.
